This thread hasn't had activity for quite some time, but my guess is someone will search and find this! :-) Of all the maps, i liked u'res the most, because u didn't fill lots of the maps with unusable terrain !(If u will, make u're next map all FLAT) Trades routes are okay, u can do lots of denarii. I think with the proper placement, i can reach 50.000 population (all fed of course, im not planning on filling a map with plebs if i can't feed them) i would have probably continued to build some many more houses !

It that farmland went all the way to the south. If u will see my save, u will see i still have plenty place to build upon, the only thing that stopped my continuing was the lack of farmland. And pretty plz with sugar on top, make all the map Flat, no ups and down, no undeleteble rocky parts what i mean to say is, i want to be able to use all of the terrain to build upon, at least 98% of all the LAND (water excluded if u know what i mean.). The map should have about 33% arable land, if i plan to make any population recordĢ. How much can u have before people start getting angry an leave ?ġ. It's basically all over the map.īut then again if u make farms on all that place, you would have no room to build upon.Īnd some one better know some figures about that unemployment a spoke earlier in this post !

I mean is that possible, all the gods were pleased. It had to be scripted. If u look at my population graph, u can see a downfall !Īnyways, can anyone try to make a bigger population, cause this is what this post is all about.Īnd speaking of that, i think a Rome map would be more suited, due to larger space for farming.

Is this ok to behave like this, or is it a bug, because, teoreticaly, my entire city was surrounded by walls, even though i had a lot of free space.Īnd another thing, i think it was scripted.Īll of the sudded i think it was a quarter of the buildings that were inside the walls, started to catch fire. It was only when all the space inside those walls was filled,(meaning i had to reduce the area that was surrounded by walls) like in the minimap picture, that the "upgrade with walls" event was triggered !

Oh, and another thing i need to say ! I reached a point when all my houses(equites and patrician), said they will evolve with walls, allthough my entire city was encased with walls! The problem was that these walls were all the way to the south (meaning i had a lot of free space within those walls !)This didn't seem to triger the "upgrade with walls" housing upgrade ability ! I think 10% was from CaesarIII(to bad it dind't have roadblocks, great game)Įven at 10% unemployed plebs (about 1700 or more), the system start complaing about more jobs needed ! I didn't knew what to do, because inside the city walls there was no more room, and the only way to fill those empty jobs, was to build marble quarys(72 workere needed for one), which made me make a large stockpile of marble in no time ! How much unemployment can u have, and not have trouble ? Allthough 295 pleb houses where lvl 3 and only 26 where lvl 1 !īut that puts me to another problem, unemployment ! Regarding the foood issue ! I think i could have build a "little" more, but that's it ! It kept saying low food, need food.īut to have 60.000 people on that Amida map, c'mon, what do u feed them, fight in the colisseum. Rome’s enemies may come to resent your contributions to these wars and seek to strike at the valuable supply center you create. Now that i acctualy played the game, i can see ho hard it is to make a big population ! Settle in quickly and get your industries up to speed, for soon Rome will call upon you for assistance in the many ongoing military campaigns.

The rough terrain will also make it tough to properly fortify your settlement, so a more active defense will be needed. While those hills are rumored to have rich marble deposits, they are not known to have much in the way of other mineral wealth. Situated near a river, the lands near Corduba are quite fertile but very hilly. The locals are still quite hostile to Rome, however, so be prepared to defend your colony at all times. Your mission is to establish a Roman colony at Corduba and from there provide support to legions further west. Rome’s hold over Nearer Hispania is nearly complete, but fierce campaigns continue in Further Hispania.
